Debut LP ANGST Out May 29

French DJ and producer Simon Delacroix, operating under the moniker The Toxic Avenger, has shattered the boundaries of electronic music, creating a chillingly dark place all his own. Crafting heavy-hitters that range from dizzying, dance club numbers to twisted, otherworldly creations, his signature sound speaks to the depths of the imagination, rousing images straight from crime scene noir. Dubbed an artist to watch by Rolling Stone for his first single and following the release of two buzzed-about singles last year, The Toxic Avenger is ready to unleash his first full-length record, ANGST. Bursting with the sinister, genre-bending sound for which Delacroix is known, ANGST will be released in North America on May 29 via Little Owl Recordings.

The album opens with “Nu 1553,” an energetic track that takes listeners on a jolting ride with punctuating bursts of synth and an erratic beat. “Angst One” picks up right where the opening track leaves off before slowing into an eerie, unsettling swirl of strings that shriek with a sense of urgency and forewarning. “Alien Summer” is an electo-pop gem with airy guest vocals by Annie floating above a pulsating dance beat. Vocal melodies shine on “Never Stop,” with its infectious, anthem-like chorus hovering above layers of synth that cut through the silence like a knife. Special to the North American release are remixes by Beat Torrent and Equateur for single “3,2,1” a thumping ghostly track offering a glimpse into Toxic’s dark world with a shimmering ethereal breakdown building to an explosive climax.

In addition to sharing stages with artists like Diplo, MSTRKRFT, Bloody Beetroots and Crystal Castles, The Toxic Avenger has made a name for himself remixing tracks by Ladytron, Benny Benasi, Chromeo and others. Stay tuned for more exciting news from The Toxic Avenger as he spreads his reign of terror across the US!

America’s wildest sweethearts DJ Mia Moretti and violinist Caitlin Moe are proud to be unleashing their debut single ‘So Beautiful’ to the world this month on iTunes.

Always ones to embrace creativity with full pelt, the girls are offering fans and fellow artists to have a go at directing their video over the holidays. The winner will be announced in January 2012, being rewarded with full directors credit and enough press and attention to satisfy any aspiring director looking for his or her big break in the industry.

Producer, DJ and west coast girl Moretti first met Michigan born vocalist and violinist Moe in a small club in Manhattan’s Lower East Side only two years ago where they bonded immediately over their shared love of dance and classical music.

The girls quickly realized they had something special when fusing their passion and skills together in the studio. Not long after, they soon embarked on a worldwide adventure taking the music, fashion and nightlife scenes by storm.

Their live performance incorporates Moretti’s strong roots in music and DJing, and Moe’s classical violin training, which has now taken them from the runways of Fashion Week to opening for Janet Jackson at the Louvre and soon to be opening for Steve Wonder in DETAILS HERE.

Together, Moretti and Moe were named Paper Magazine’s DJ of the Year and have played at Chelsea Clinton’s Wedding, Chopard’s 150th Anniversary Party and Perez Hilton’s “One Night in Austin.”
